Watch out for me little Business Degree Girl who loves following legislation . . .  I can cause a lot of trouble.
Last year when filing my tax return for the year, I challanged my Summary of Earnings from Hometown Chicken, the takeaway shop I used to as they hadn't filed all my earnings for the tax year and being the girl who likes to get her tax back for every last cent I attached my pay sheet and said IT IS WRONG and sent it happily off to the IRD who said sweet as, we will adjust your tax and give you a nice healthy sum of money back.
What HC had done was only filed our earning for April 2006 - December 2006. Therefore not including earnings from January 07-March 07 in the tax year.
Now I wonder whether they have done that on all tax related documents as I just got a call from mum saying that Hometown Chicken have to go to the High Court for possible liquidation for tax (fraud I think or similar) unless they front up with the correct documents and pay the money they own.
So that could be the end of Hometown Chicken and I may have started it. . .OOPS!
Though in my guilty state I asked mum whether they could make it through and she said yes.

So in some respects it is good that they have been found out as it is ILLEGAL! however it could be plain ignorance, though when they have been in business for 20 years + you would think that they would know.
moral of the story DO NOT CUT CORNERS BUSINESSES! your employees may be a lot smarter than you think.
It may be good for those ppl who worked there in similar roles as I did as they were probably under paid as well as they always were a little too slow to register the whole concept of MINIMUM WAGES for both Youth and Adults.

The few NZ Cricket players I respect . . .

Oram
Vettori
McCullum
How
Taylor
Martin
Fleming
Sinclair
Mason
Patel
Cumming

I am so fucking mad! A contract is a contract - you are bound to it unless you give adequate notice.
Bracewell should probably fuck off as he is causing problems, but for fucks sake can people find some BALLS and stick it out.
Heath Mills should also probably fuck off to be honest - that man causes problems.

Ok so with the mascot dead, no more McKay-vers, Red Badge threatening to sue, and the Father in jail, everyone wants to know what's happening with Pulp Sport. Well, I'll tell you all what I know...which isn't much. Lets face facts, I'm just the intern, so I don't get told much!!!

It is unclear at this stage whether or not there will be another series of Pulp Sport. It will all depend on sponsors, and whether there is enough funding for another series. We dont get NZ on Air funding, so can only afford three of us full time, which makes it extremely hard work making the show. Don't fret just yet though...if there is no more Pulp Sport, Bill and Ben will likely be doing a different show on TV3 next year. I guarantee that if you liked Pulp Sport, you will like any show that the fellas make. They are very talented, funny guys, and New Zealand definately hasn't seen the last of them!!!!

Also, we are hoping to bring Pulp Sport out on DVD. If you think that is a good idea, email the guys at pulpsport@tv3.co.nz and let them know. The more people there are showing interest, the more likely it is that it will happen!

We would also like to thank everone for wathcing the show, and for your comments about it. It makes the hard work and late nights all worthwhile when we hear from people who watched and like the show. Thanks for your support! You're all lovely people.

Hey, my name's Andy Jay, a.k.a Big Red. I worked on Pulp Sport series 4 (the current series) as the Intern. In other words I was Bill & Ben's bitch. I made the coffees and held the boom. I was also forced to take part in the folowing skit...It is not one of my proudest moments.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! i am sooo sad! i love pulp sport and am hoping that they continue!

okie dokie i was soo thinking about entering to do nz business week these holidays, but i never got around to doing it and just flicking through some stuff on the internet i found this  . . .

"Business as usual for students

04 July 2006

By JANINE RANKIN

Seventy-five senior secondary school students have given up a week of their holidays, $450 in registration fees and various amounts in travel costs to attend the 15th New Zealand Business Week course at Palmerston North Boys' High School this week.

From all around New Zealand, the teens have started a total immersion course to give them a head start in the business world.

Chairperson Colin Higgins said the students were organised into teams who ran their own virtual companies, with regular meetings scheduled in to the programme when they had to make key decisions leading up to a trade fair on Thursday.

This year the programme had been updated technologically by sponsorship from Telecom, Hewlett Packard and Gen-i that meant the students would be using laptops for most of their work.

The programme features visits to local businesses, sessions led by local business leaders, and an after-dinner speech from Central Districts Black Cap Jacob Oram. "

You Are Bert

Extremely serious and a little eccentric, people find you loveable - even if you don't love them!

You are usually feeling: Logical - you rarely let your emotions rule you

You are famous for: Being smart, a total neat freak, and maybe just a little evil

How you life your life: With passion, even if your odd passions (like bottle caps and pigeons) are baffling to others

Big jake!!1

i finally found the update button :D
so in the time since i last updated so much has happened so here's a really brief run down

*continued working at the chicken place.
*then went on holiday from work for 3 weeks
* had school prizegiving - top in economics, had to play drums in windband -- so painful
*stalked a certain 1.98m tall cricket player on my birthday :D best fun i've had in a while even tho my camera sucks with absolutely no zoom i have some great pics still
*coupla bday parties for me and a close friend of mine
*it was christmas - so boring at family friends we played so many games of 20 questions that it was sad and i had no alcohol coz there were so many old people
*boxing day and no cricket in NZ. . . ARRGH!!
*nz plays s.l. in a 4 odi series - the afore mentioned 1.98m cricket player was joined in the tall timber stakes by a 2m cricket player with bad posture. and the 1.98m cricket player actually found some bowling form and then gets "injured" with a bruised heel - come on man toughen up.
*nz wins series 4-1.
*continued going to the gym - finally have a new training program tho not with the same personal trainer, coz i took so long to organise it mum organised it and so i ended up with another p.t, and she is really awesome, she actually makes me stretch as i have a tendency not to
